Avon Girl Scout Cadette Troop #66703 assisted by family members and the Garden Club of Avon installed a pollinator garden at the Avon Dog Pound in June 2025.

Working with the Garden Club of Avon, four Girl Scout troups, Daisies, Brownies and two 9th grade Girl Scout troups, removed pounds of invasive mugwort, then planted small native pollinator plants and lots of seeds for pollinator plants.
The 2nd grade Daisies were working on their Bug Badge. They listened to a talk about the good bugs we hoped to help.
